The Hungarian Frank Zappa Association came into existence take holding of the opportunity of Internet: some Frank Zappa fan and some who inquiring about him founded a community on the Forums of Index.hu (Our association was enrolled by the Registry Court in october2003), not much later launched the www.zappa.hu mother-ship homepage with the aim of widespread popularization, and acquainting the activity of the versatile american composer.
Zappa.hu is an unofficial fan-made homepage dedicated to Frank Zappa. We are non-profit and not in any way endorsed or connected with The Zappa Family Trust and/or Zappa.com. The purpose of the site is only to promote Zappa's music and to inform the fans concerning new/old releases. The name of Frank Zappa is never used for commercial purposes.

In order the aims among our organised programs are book premiere, audiovisual performance on oeuvre of FZ, and the contignous expansion of the website`s content (new releases, ZPZ tours, news, reviews) so far. Besides these we think giving a forum for Hungarian Zappa friends and giving base for the very beginner Zappa fans.

We've been planning quite a lot of stuff... but no time. :-)


We plan to go on with the website, make the fan comunity larger, make some international connections. The main project is to bring FZ's mucis close to HUngarian readers - but we still would like to please our forigner visitors.
